Two Scientific Innovators, One Shared Mission

We welcome Dr. Shen Yan to Interlit as co-founder, Chief Scientific Officer (CSO), and business developer. With extensive experience in life sciences and innovation-driven initiatives, and as a PhD with an MBA, Dr. Yan bring a unique combination of scientific rigor and business acumen. She will help drive Interlit’s scientific and commercial strategy, translating cutting-edge protein design into clinically relevant and commercially viable solutions.

02 Method

The Score Most People Use to Rank Protein Binders Doesn’t Predict Binding

For the 2026 EGFR/cetuximab binder optimization competition, we developed a new in silico method to avoid co-folding confidence metrics such as ipTM and ipSAE. Why? Because when ranked by ipSAE, the tightest binder the wet lab validated (which our in silico method also ranked first) would not even have made our top-ten design shortlist.

In Under a Day, We Set Three World Records in Protein Design

A two-person team I led ranked ten candidates in the 2026 EGFR/cetuximab binder optimization competition. All ten bound in the lab, and the one we ranked first proved to be the tightest binder measured.
